conflicts get buried in the ground

and spill over

cracking the column-beam connection

now water damage in the wall and

all because a mother feared her child might

be hurt in the yard.

the wind,

marsh, dune, sandpiper. If an ocean’s

after you, run.

The only thing that has never broken its promise
