I was at a meeting recently, and the woman in charge said that one time she had worked with an organization run by Quakers. They had to make a significant decision, and there were no easy answers. One clarifying question they asked in the process was, “Are all hearts clear?”
This is a wild world. We can get so stirred up inside—by anything and everything.
So right here and right now might be a great time to ask, is your heart clear?
What swirls through your mind and heart as you consider that? What clouds gather and storm?
Is your heart clear? If not, why not?
As you consider these questions, do you suddenly get tangled up in the thorns of your narrative? Do you get lost in the complicated twists and turns of your story? Do your insides start to snarl as you think about the other characters, those who seem perfectly designed to frustrate the hell out of you? Or who have caused you deep and real pain?
Is your heart clear? If not, check in. How often do you keep getting hooked by the same thing, the same thoughts? Be honest, how often is it because you choose the drama? Does a part of you like getting stirred up?
Is your heart clear?
There are so many reasons the answer might be no. And it’s easy to point fingers at the world as to why your heart isn’t clear. “If things would just go the way I want them to, then my heart could be clear.”
Dear ones, this is not a job that comes from the outside in. The wild world is beautiful, but it will never be easy or go exactly the way we want. Therefore, to make our hearts clear, we need to work from the inside out.
One way to get your heart clear is to breathe. Drop into your center. Let everything settle.
Forget the narratives. Drop the drama. Sit. Let it all settle. Clear your heart. Give your light the space and time it needs to shine.
Inhale. Exhale. Sit. Center. Settle.
Let your heart be clear. Let your radiant light shine
